Risk Manager (Cyprus)

Responsibilities
- Assess and manage trading risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks;
- Implement risk management strategies and adheres to risk limits set by the company;
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Forex markets, including technical and fundamental analysis, to identify trading opportunities and make informed trading decisions;
- Monitor and analyse market prices, spreads, and liquidity providers to ensure competitive pricing for clients;
- Prepare and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly trading reports, including trade volumes, profitability, and market trends;
- Provide reports to management and relevant stakeholders as required;
- Support of other departments regarding the emails from clients and deal with their requests or complaints;
- Collaborate with other team members: customer support, compliance and back-office officers, etc. to share insights, exchange information, and contribute to overall trading strategies and goals;
- Monitor the market at all times and be informed on all economic events, market holidays and arrange for any adjustments to be made to specific markets or financial instruments;
- Ensure that the company’s Trading Platform/s are operational and provide up-to-date information throughout on prices and news;
- Responsible for monitoring pricing and clients’ execution;
- Responsible for ensuring the Company’s hedged exposure is correct and accurate;
- Use all reporting tools at your disposal to take actions or make suggestions for improvements where possible;
- Perform any other tasks assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or any other related field;
- CySec Certificate Basic or Advanced will be considered an advantage;
- At least 3 years of experience as a Dealer within a forex brokerage or financial institution;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Strong knowledge of trading strategies and risk management techniques;
- Proficient in using trading platforms (MT4&5 Administrator & Manager), order management systems, analytical tools and Bridge technologies;
- Understanding of hedging mechanics;
- Sound understanding of relevant regulations, including AML and KYC procedures;
- Strong decision-making abilities and the ability to work well under pressure;
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in using Excel, SQL will be considered a plus;
- Very good numerical and analytical skills;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in shifts on a weekly basis.
